PHL and China ESCO association heads share leadership of newly formed Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance

ADB HEADQUARTERS, MANDALUYONG CITY, 5 June 2018 — Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) president Alexander Ablaza and China Energy Conservation Association (EMCA) vice director Lily Zhao Ming were elected to co-chair the newly formed Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance during a Meeting of Asia-Pacific ESCO Associations convened here earlier today by PE2 and the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore (SEAS) as a pre-forum activity of the Asia Clean Energy Forum 2018 (ACEF 2018).

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, QUEZON CITY, 3 June 2018 – Senior Assistant Majority Floor Leader Michael L. Romero, of the 1-Pacman party-list seat in the House of Representatives of the 17th Congress and member of the Committee on Rules, sent Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) president Alexander Ablaza a note pledging support for the Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EE&C) bill as it expects the Committee on Rules to soon receive the said pending policy measure from the Committee on Ways & Means.

PE2 asks House panel to exclude EE incentives from rationalization scope of TRAIN-2 bill

HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, QUEZON CITY, 30 May 2018 -- The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) manifested its position of excluding energy efficiency and conservation (EE&C) projects from the rationalization of fiscal incentives under House Bill 7458, otherwise known as TRAIN-2 bill, during the initial deliberations on said measure by the House Committee on Ways & Means held here earlier today. The committee hearing was chaired by Rep. Dakilo Carlo E. Cua, while PE2 was represented by its president, Alexander Ablaza.

PE2 asks DOE chief to support EE incentives in pending bills

MALACAÑAN PALACE, MANILA, 28 May 2018 –Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) president Alexander Ablaza met with Secretary Alfonso G. Cusi of the Department of Energy (DOE) during the signing ceremony of the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2018 held here earlier today, specifically to seek DOE’s support for PE2’s call to preserve “TRAIN-friendly” fiscal incentives in pending House bills on energy efficiency and conservation and on Package 2 of the tax reform, acceleration and inclusion program (TRAIN-2) of the Philippine Government.

QUEZON CITY, 21 May 2018 – The members and officers of the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) actively supported the Board of Investments (BOI) in promoting energy efficiency (EE) in the manufacturing and agri-support sectors during a BOI-organized industry forum for EE held in the Crowne Plaza hotel earlier today with assistance from the German international cooperation agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ).

MAKATI CITY, 16 May 2018 -- The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) pushed for expanded procurement, budgeting, contracting and investment modalities to support energy efficiency (EE) projects in the public sector as it actively participated in the European Union-assisted Access to Sustainable Energy Programme (EU ASEP) forum “Navigating Procurement Regulations to Support Government Buildings Energy Efficiency (EE) Projects” held in the Dusit Thani hotel earlier today.
