APEIA members from China, India and the Philippines meet in New Delhi

NEW DELHI, 8 March 2019 – The principal representatives of three member organizations of the Asia-Pacific ESCO Industry Alliance held an informal meeting on the sidelines of the International Energy Services Conclave 2019, held in this city from 6-8 March 2019. Alexander Ablaza, president of the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2), Satish Kumar and Koshy Cherail, president and director, respectively, of the Alliance for an Energy Efficient Economy (India) and Lily Zhao Ming, vice director of the ESCO committee of the China Energy Conservation Association (EMCA) gathered briefly to receive updates on plans related to the conduct of the 3rd APEIA meeting and deep-dive workshop on ESCO and EE finance during the week of the Asia Clean Energy Forum 2019 in Mandaluyong City in June 2019 with PE2 as country host.

Ablaza of PE2 and Zhao of EMCA serve as elected co-chairs of APEIA.

APEIA now represents the ESCO associations of 7 country markets, which include China, India, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Singapore and Taiwan. The regional alliance continues to reach out to other ESCO associations in the region.
During its first two meetings in 2018, APEIA established a regional ESCO industry platform aimed at facilitating the flow of knowledge, development resources and capital across Asia-Pacific energy efficiency markets.
