PE2 convenes members in first on-site GMM since 2019

Board elects new VP-TA and treasurer

PASAY CITY, 23 March 2023 – The Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance (PE2) held earlier today its first on-site general membership meeting (GMM) since October 2019. The GMM was held immediately after the successfully concluded Energy Efficiency Day 2023, likewise in the SMX Convention Center in this city.

The GMM was preceded by a special meeting of the PE2 Board of Trustees, during which Raymond Marquez was elected as the Alliance’s first-ever Vice President for Technical Affairs (VP-TA), and Ireen Go-Catane as Treasurer (replacing Marquez). Earlier in this meeting, Colin Steley and Catane were elected to fill the two vacant seats in the Board. Vice Presidents Ruth Yu-Owen and Theresa Acedillo-Lapuz, Corporate Secretary Richard Henrick Beltran and outgoing Treasurer Raymond Marquez also presented their respective reports to the Board.

During the GMM proper, PE2 president Alexander Ablaza gave the membership an update on the energy efficiency policy guidelines under RA 11285, recent media statements and outreach activities, especially the Energy Efficiency Day 2023.

An open forum followed, with member companies offering suggestions for training activities and knowledge events.

New member companies eeaser GmbH, Yokogawa Philippines and Vega Energy Services were introduced to the general membership.
